I would like to welcome you and tell you a little about myself.
My name is Dr Cory Shapiro, and I am a second generation chiropractor. This means that chiropractic has always been part of my life. I am originally from Calgary Canada and became a U.S. citizen in 2008. My Father moved us to Hendersonville in 1981 when I was in 6th grade. My Father, Dr. Joel Shapiro aka "Doc" practiced right here in Hendersonville until he passed away in 1994.
I am married and have two children (Jessica and Nicholas). Kristy and I have been happily married since 1998. We are very active in our community and are past presidents of the Station Camp Elementary PTO. I am also past president of the Hendersonville Evening Sertoma Club, and a member Tennessee Chiropractic association. I served in the United States Marine Corps, and I am a veteran of the first Gulf War. I graduated from Life University School of Chiropractic in 1998. After graduating Kristy and I moved to Dallas TX. Where I was an associate with Airport Freeway Chiropractic and Rehab Center. In 2000 we decided to return to Hendersonville and start a family.
I take a "whole person approach" to the practice of chiropractic. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize normal function, or to state this more simply we find the problem and then fix it. Using this unique approach, we are able to help you accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
I have always had a passion for athletics and fitness, even as a high school senior and in Chiropractic College I worked as a fitness trainer. This passion has followed me through my adult life and into my practice. We can help guide you to higher performance and reduce your chances of injury. If you are ready to get the best out of yourself, then my team at Shapiro Family Chiropractic is for you.
